We have an immediate opening for a Structural Design Engineer/Technologist to join our team in Canmore, AB. Canmore offers world class outdoor adventure opportunities, including mountain biking, rock climbing, white-water kayaking, downhill and nordic skiing, as well as more leisurely pursuits such as fishing, golfing, and camping.
Required Skills
• Providing design support for structural engineering projects, including ski lifts, amusement rides, foundations, retaining walls, and other related structures;
• Preparation of documents required for approvals, development and construction cost estimates, and tender documents and contracts;
• Working with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
Required Experience
• Degree or diploma from an accredited university, technical school, or college;
• 5 years' experience in the structural engineering field, with a focus on design work;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, as well as other structural related software;
• Registration as a P.Eng., CET, or RET in Alberta, or eligibility to be registered, is required;
• High productivity and attention to detail;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as strong teamwork abilities;
• Ability and desire to work in unusual outdoor environments – ski slopes, mountain resorts and parks.
