Required Skills

• Collection of accurate data in the field by using survey measuring equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) or survey processing software
• Preparation of clear, concise and accurate field notes
• Perform computations of survey data
• Perform other duties as required

Required Experience

• Diploma or degree in Geomatics and at least 1-2 years’ progressive experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be registered as a Land Surveyor in Training in BC through the Association of BC Land Surveyors
• Experience using surveying software (Civil 3D, MicroSurvey)
• Experience using survey equipment (GPS, Total Station)
• Ability and desire to work in varying and remote locations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong leadership abilities and the drive to succeed
• Experience in a backcountry/wilderness environment is a strong asset
