Transportation Engineer

We have an immediate opening in our busy Kamloops office for a Transportation Engineer. The incumbent in this position will be a key member of the team, and will play a vital part in this team’s growth and further development as a successful and profitable branch. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate on a wide variety of transportation infrastructure projects ranging from simple intersections to complex design build projects.

Required Skills

• Working with our team of engineers, surveyors, planners and technicians to deliver excellent service
• Providing experienced and skilled engineering and management of transportation engineering projects from proposal stage, through planning, conceptual design, detailed design, construction and completion stages
• Mentoring and managing technical and junior professional staff participating on projects
• Providing assistance to the Branch Manager as required for planning, sales and marketing

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on transportation engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia, or eligible for registration as a P. Eng. in BC
• Prior professional experience should include project management, business development, design of roads and highways. Bridge design, hydrology, resource road and/or municipal subdivision design experience would also be an asset
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; ability to thrive in a high performance team environment
