WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO:
  • Develop rich and complex browser extensions using HTML5, CSS3, and the latest browser APIs.
  • Devise and implement APIs to support cross-team development of widgets that will run in any browser and leverage custom features of the extension platform.
  • Interact closely with product managers, quality assurance, and other development teams.
WHY WE WANT YOU:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or comparable education or job experience.
  • 2+ years of hard core JavaScript experience, along with CSS and HTML.
  • Ability to design and implement rich client-side JavaScript applications, applying structural design patterns such as MVP/MVC, and/or frameworks such as Backbone or Dojo.
  • In-depth knowledge of ECMAScript 3/5 standards, browser-specific quirks, and libraries such as jQuery and Underscore (or similar).
  • Familiarity with debugging tools such as Firebug / Chrome DevTools, and version control systems such as Subversion or Git.
WHAT GETS US EXCITED:
  • Experience using the Firefox, Chrome, or Safari APIs to build, package, and deploy custom browser extensions.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming styles.
  • You enjoy building cool web apps, contributing to open source projects, or attending JavaScript meetups in your free time.
