Executive Engineer / India

CIMMYT (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center) invites applications for the position of Executive Engineer (Nationally Recruited Staff). The position is initially for a fixed term of 3 years subject to satisfactory completion of probation period (1 year) and subsequent renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of sufficient funds.


Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quantity surveying.
  • Preparation of preliminary and detailed estimates.
  • Invitation of tenders.
  • Processing for acceptance of tenders.
  • Inspection of works.
  • Preparation of bills.
  • Dispute resolution.
  • Handling of arbitration proceedings.

Education / Experience:

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering with 18 years experience (with at least 8 years at assistant engineers level).
  • Familiarity with STADD and AUTOCAD.
  • Must have good idea of Bureau of Indian Standard Codes of Practice.

  • Strong self motivation and innovative skills.
  • Demonstrated good communication and organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural environment.

Job Location:

  • Incumbent will be located at Jabalpur. The incumbent may have to work at New Delhi for at least for 15 days in a month. He / she will be expected to oversee / supervise works at Ludhiana and Pusa sites also.
