Executive Engineer / India
CIMMYT (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center) invites applications for the position of Executive Engineer (Nationally Recruited Staff). The position is initially for a fixed term of 3 years subject to satisfactory completion of probation period (1 year) and subsequent renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of sufficient funds.
Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Carry out quantity surveying.
- Preparation of preliminary and detailed estimates.
- Invitation of tenders.
- Processing for acceptance of tenders.
- Inspection of works.
- Preparation of bills.
- Dispute resolution.
- Handling of arbitration proceedings.
Education / Experience:
- Graduate in Civil Engineering with 18 years experience (with at least 8 years at assistant engineers level).
- Familiarity with STADD and AUTOCAD.
- Must have good idea of Bureau of Indian Standard Codes of Practice.
Professional Competencies:
- Planned and organized approach.
- Strong self motivation and innovative skills.
- Demonstrated good communication and organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural environment.
Job Location:
- Incumbent will be located at Jabalpur. The incumbent may have to work at New Delhi for at least for 15 days in a month. He / she will be expected to oversee / supervise works at Ludhiana and Pusa sites also.
