Based in London, the Legatum Institute (LI) is an independent non-partisan public policy organisation whose research, publications, and programmes advance ideas and policies in support of free and prosperous societies around the world.

LI’s signature annual publication is the Legatum Prosperity Index, the world’s only global assessment of national prosperity based on both wealth and subjective wellbeing.

We are looking for a Director of Prosperity Studies to build on, and lead, our work in wellbeing and prosperity studies.

They will be responsible for devising and implementing a strategy to develop, improve and enhance our signature product, the Prosperity Index, as well as be responsible for the development of a business plan for work and products in the field of wellbeing research and prosperity studies. They will also manage and develop a team, develop relationships with key policy makers and engage global media.

A quantative social scientist with excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills, you will have a track record in wellbeing research or a related area. Experience of working with senior management in a fluid, fast moving impactful role is key as well as resonance with our mission.
