Job Purpose Succesful candidate will be reporting to the Sr Operations Performance Manager (SOPM), the Operations Analytics & Performance Specialist (OAPS) is responsible for Maintaining, developing and deploying Fuel performance and operation efficiency initiatives. The OAPS is also responsible for maintaining and deploying the Fuel & Operations Cost Optimization System (FOCOS Program). The OAPS will ensure that the FOCOS system is designed, implemented at the centre of the airline’s business; it will be positioned in Etihad’s Operations Logistics department with direct links and open channels of communication with various stakeholders from all Operations, Executive Steering Group, IT, Fuel, Strategy and Corporate Communications teams. Responsibilities Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to: Translating business requirements into Analytical/technical requirements. Opens and maintains communication channels with SOPM, all team members within the flight operations department and all areas within Etihad Airways (Maintenance, technical, training Finance and IT) Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the end product Coordinate with Key stakeholders to ensure that the required analytics data is available and compliant Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods Support the development and implementation of plans and programs to match / surpass USD$100+ Million fuel saving initiatives in the 5 year initial business plan & beyond Complete understanding in wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the Operations Research and advance analytics Independently determine and develop approach to solutions Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Deep understanding of the IATA Fuel optimization and performance best practices Working across departments to take responsibility for the team responsible for the upgrades and implementation of software functionalities within Operations Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine processes, requirements and standards Single point of contact for all communication with SOPM and all different business entities within Etihad Airways Represent Etihad along with SOPM in Performance Optimization Synergy Group with Air Berlin. Support SOPM with the integration of Air Berlin, Air Seychelles and Aer Lingus with initiatives & program development. Represents Etihad along with SPOM in local and international events, meetings, seminars, work groups and trainings. Support the SOPM in his responsibility in the implementation and management of the relationship with Suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget In addition to the above, Maintain and develop new opportunities with the existing operations logistics products and business processes (Aircom, Adopt, Kiosk, Lido) Requirements Minimum Masters Degree Management Business Administration (MBA). Minimum 10 years in business analytics and intelligence with minimum 5 years data integration. Minimum 5 years in different IT related roles.Minimum 5 years experience coordinating, supporting, and implementing IT business processes. Proven track record of managing teams, suppliers, contractors, commercial relationships. Training & Knowledge: Knowledge of data interfaces and implementation processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills High computer literacy Strategic planning and project management skills Knowledge of airline commercial planning and industry data sources Presentation and negotiation skills IATA Fuel Performance best practices
