Job Purpose

Successful candidate will plan all Flight Crew Training courses into the Crew Management system according to GCAA and Company rules and regulations. Responsible for all Flight Crew Qualification requirements and tracking using the Crew Management software system

ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
  • Plan all Flight Crew Training courses in conjunction / liaise with Training department and Flight Crew Planner, performed based on Operations requirements on a monthly basis. Must build legal training plans within the dimensions of OMD and OMA.
  • Create initial training plan at least 6 months in advance in the Crew Management software system. Secure initial simulator / training resources required for at least months in advance.
  • Verify all crewmembers listed/actual (fit to fly) and determine requirements with the assistance of Flight Crew Planner and the Manager of Flight Operations Training / Qualifications.
  • Responsible to initial data entries of all new hire record entered into Crew Management system. These records would include, but limited to, date of joining, employee number, and seniority number. Birthdates, Nationality, medical number, Visa Permits and Expiry, total number of Flight Crew, training courses, rating and attrition factor to provide weekly and monthly statistics.
  • Communicate to all relevant internal departments of all crew training and qualification in advance of each up coming Roster month.
  • Update and reschedule any / all training that has been missed during daily Crew Control disruption: no shows, sickness, absenteeism, flying, simulator downtime, or removal from the Safety and Training Departments
  • Monitor and Maintain Flight Crew legality requirements pertaining to training assigned duties, on a month to month basis, also reviewing on a day to day basis as follow up.
  • Track all PPG (Pilot Proficiency Groups) and initial 100 hour restrictions. Track airport restrictions, update system accordingly.
  • Responsible to take action for any missed training event during the daily published roster period.
  • Communicate with Flight Crew Planners all changes to the training plan that may or will affect the planned line training blocks / pairings.
  • Action as required, for all Flight Crew member documents as per renewal of any / all documents as they become due or expire
  • Follow on all simulator events, track down the TS-1 report and update the system for qualifications, daily reset the new expiry dates in the Crew Management software system.
  • Follow through on all ground related training events, coordinate with Training department to recover any lost training and re-schedule. Communicate these actions with Crew Control if during the daily operations to make the correct decision to rectify the missed training event.
  • Taking ownership of all Flight Crew records and AIMS Crew Database to ensure compliance for any GCAA, Internal, and External Auditing that may occur on a frequent basis.
  • Disclose and report any crew who have expired in any recency, visa, or missed training event. Disclosure must be completed by a full written report to the Manager of Flight Operations Training / Qualifications.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for any upgrades to the Crew Resource system. Report any bugs or IT user functionality issues pertaining to the software system.
  • Liaise with Crew Licensing Administration for issuances of GCAA Pilot licenses and Medicals.
Requirements

Post Secondary Education, preferred in College or University completion. Minimum of 3 years related Airline experience in Crew Control or Crew Planning and/or Qualifications and Licensing. Alternately a Simulator Training Academy could be recognized.

Training/Knowledge:

  • Trained in Crew Resource Management IT Crewing systems
  • Airline Crew Qualifications / Licensing logistics
  • Civil Aviation rule sets (JAR-OPS, CAP371, and other FTL schemes)
