Senior Analyst – Senior Database Administrator
The Business Intelligence Systems group is looking to hire a dedicated professional as Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to develop and govern our database architecture. The group is responsible for the Business Intelligence platform, including databases, data warehouse, BI tools and SharePoint, as well as system development and system support.
NBIM has a contemporary IT environment and continuously evaluates applied technology to improve our systems and data architecture.
The position is located in Oslo, some travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain, govern and develop database architecture and infrastructure to ensure alignment with business needs and best industry practices
• Manage and follow up database administrators, including off-shore resources
• Optimize processes for maintenance and monitoring of database solutions
• Follow up and advice development- and support teams
Main Qualifications:
• University degree with strong academic records
• 5-8 years’ experience as database architect, database administrator and developer, preferably within financial services
• Experience and proven knowledge from database infrastructure architecture
• Solid technical understanding of DBMS (Especially Microsoft SQL Server), ETL (Informatica PowerCenter), Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and .NET technologies
• Strong communication skills and working proficiency in written and spoken English
