Assistant Professor - Crime and Migration Ryerson University

Applications are invited for one tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank, commencing August 1, 2013, subject to budgetary approval. We are seeking a candidate withan excellent record of research examining the intersections between Crime and Migration who can also teach in our core curriculum. We are particularly interested in scholars who study the development of domestic and international public policy in this area, but will consider candidates with a wide range of interests/areas of expertise that complement the area and department strengths. Required qualifications include a PhD in Criminology or related field, evidence of an emerging scholarly record, evidence of high-quality teaching and a capacity for collegial service.

The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology is housed within the Faculty of Arts which serves approximately 28, 000 undergraduate and graduate students. The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology offers a highly successful undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA). Our faculty also contribute to interdisciplinary graduate programs in the faculty of Arts (MA in Immigration and Settlement Studies and PhD in Policy Studies).
