Director: Myanmar International HIV/AIDS Alliance
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance supports communities to meet the challenges of AIDS and build healthier communities. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is seeking a country office Director to lead the work of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Myanmar. The successful candidate will manage the Alliance Myanmar staff and take the lead on programmatic and organisational strategic development. In addition, they will actively fundraise for programme development, implement and develop operational plans ensuring that they are successful, pursue partnerships in collaboration with other key stakeholders in HIV/AIDS work and represent the International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Myanmar at regional, national and provincial levels.
In line with the Alliance’s long term vision to “build up an alliance of national linking organisations working effectively together”, Alliance Myanmar is developing a plan to transition from a country office to a locally registered, independent NGO which will strengthen community action on HIV/AIDS and influence policy within Myanmar. Due to the nature of this position, Myanmar nationals with the relevant skills, knowledge and experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
