Aurecon's Telecommunications Group has for many years delivered major projects both in Victoria and nationally for some of Australia's biggest companies.  Due to the expanding number of projects our Melbourne office is currently delivering across our established and recent clients we are seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Structural Engineers from an intermediate to Senior level who would be keen to be engaged on either a contract or permanent arrangement as we move forward into the next wave of our delivery cycle.

The key responsibilities Structural Engineers within our Telecommunications group would be:

• Site surveys to determine suitable tower placements for new greenfield sites.
• Site surveys to determine constraints and requirements for upgrade works on existing infrastructure and rooftop sites.
• The design of foundations, footings, steel structures and mount supports.
• A sound knowledge in the use of structural analysis software including Spacegass (essential) and MS Tower (advantageous).
• The ability to liaise and where appropriate influence internal and external clients and sub consultants.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical report writing.
• A strong client focus and a willingness to learn.

Ideally, you would already have experience in designing Telecommunication structures, both greenfield and co-location of equipment onto existing infrastructure.  However, we are also keen to engage with other Structural engineers who would be keen to further develop their skills in this rapidly developing market space.
