If you are interested in UK politics and development and would like to understand how a major NGO conducts advocacy campaigning here’s a great opportunity to do just that with ActionAid. We’re offering you the chance to gain great hands-on experience within our Advocacy Team as well as enhance your appreciation of the importance of advocacy work for development organisations.
Join us and you will work on a range of projects that will enable you to gain a better understanding of the UK political system and process such as carrying out research work that will support our advocacy campaigns and might include attending meetings with MPs or other policy makers.
As well as being able to give us an idea of what key experiences you wish to take from volunteering with us you will need an understanding of the basic UK political process as well as good PC and communications skills. A good researcher you will write well and be comfortable meeting deadlines.
That we expect you to support our aim of building a fair and just world where everyone can claim their rights goes without saying.
