Chief Executive/Secretary-General Groupe Consultatif Actuariel Européen


The Groupe Consultatif Actuariel Européen is the professional body representing the national associations of actuaries in Europe.
In preparation for the retirement of the present CEO/Secretary-General, the Groupe is looking for a successor to take charge of the promotion of interests of the actuarial profession in Europe, and be responsible for organizing the activities of the administrative, executive and secretarial services.
The CEO works closely with the Board and reports to its Chair. S/he has good person to person and organizational skills, has an ability to work independently as well as part of a team, is proactive, and has an ability to analyze and synthesize.
The CEO requires a basic understanding of the workings of EU institutions, and should have experience in working with professionals from different European countries.  Fluency in English is essential.  Some understanding of actuarial work and a good command of German and/or French would be an advantage.
The appointment is based in Brussels, but will involve regular travel around Europe.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
