Driver - Logistics Assistant

The IEA is seeking to recruit a Logistics Assistant in the Building and Operations Unit. The duties will include driving the Executive and Deputy Executive Director of the Agency.
 
It should be noted that the incumbent will be expected to work outside usual working hours as required and the hours recovered through time off in lieu of the hours worked.
 
 
Main Responsibilities
 
Transport
 
Driving senior members of the IEA for official functions following detailed instructions, observing the highway code, local traffic laws and good driving practice.
 
Ensure the routine maintenance of the vehicle including cleaning, oil water, and hydraulic fluid levels in addition. Report promptly any defects or need for servicing.
 
Logistics

Assistance with receiving deliveries and stocking supplies, distributing post within the agency, assisting with the packaging and dispatch of publications of the IEA.
 
Assistance with office moves and handling office furniture, undertaking urgent ad-hoc postal deliveries and collection between the IEA and the OECD, escorting and accompanying contractors, delivering and collecting supplies for receptions and assisting in their preparation.
 
Assistance with setting up conferences, covering for other team members in their absence.
 
 
Candidate’s profile
 
Academic Background
 
A good secondary education.
 
Professional Background
 
A clean driving licence category B and at least 5 years driving experience. Previous experience as a chauffeur would be an advantage.
 
Experience working in logistics and for an international organisation would be an advantage.
 
Key Competencies
 
Knowledge of IT packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel would be an advantage.
 
Good interpersonal skills and presentation; the ability to adapt to new situations.  Ability to work effectively and flexibly in a multicultural environment, to foster and maintain good working relations, as part of a team, with colleagues at all levels, national administrations and industry.
 
Languages
 
A very good knowledge of one of the official languages of the OECD (French and English). Good knowledge of other OECD language(s) would be an advantage.
 
 
Contract Duration
3-year fixed term.
