EUCORD Executive Director

The European Cooperative for Rural Development (EUCORD) is recruiting for an Executive Director(ED/CEO). The ED has the overall responsibility for the strategic and operational activities of EUCORD. In addition s/he has the prime responsibility for the securing and funding of new projects. A full description of the position is on EUCORD’s website: www.eucord.org.

Requirements for this position include broad understanding and experience of (development) business in different cultures, especially in Africa; some familiarity with agricultural projects; experience in project driven organizations, associate funding and cost control; managerial capabilities and decision making in small and/or medium sized organizations; good social net-working capabilities (bridging the world of non-profit and for profit companies); fluency in spoken and written English and working knowledge of French.

The European Cooperative for Rural Development (EUCORD) is a small Brussels-based non-profit organization. Its mission is to help people living in poverty in developing countries improve their development capacity and hence, their wellbeing. EUCORD seeks to actively promote public-private partnerships between civil society organizations, corporations that are investing in developing countries, and public development agencies.
