Front End Engineer Shell - Miri, Sarawak


Job Description

  • Front end project development to plan and manage the activities in Identify & Assess, Select and early part of the Define phase maximising the Company business value
  • Plan, investigate, develop, integrate, document and validate project feasibility assessments
  • Propose, study, develop, evaluate, integrate, prepare preliminary delivery plans, and document project concept
  • Provide surface facilities eng input into the preparation of Field Development Plan (FDP)
  • Develop, define and prepare the project basis for design, execution assessments, cost estimates and schedule for handing over to Project Execution
  • Perform/Coordinate engineering studies to support key decision at the various development stages
  • Identify and Assess development uncertainties/risks, including HSE and sustainable development assessment, and propose mitigation plan
  • Plan and implement assurance process at key stages of the development in the form of Peer review, Value Assurance Review (VAR) or Integrated Functional Review (IFR)
  • Plan and engage internal and external stakeholders. Support the Business Planning (BP) and Work
  • Program and Budget (WP&B) exercise, providing input on the latest Scope, Cost and Schedule
  • Requires broad knowledge of offshore facilities, and offshore facilties project delivery and awareness of worldwide practicies, successes, failures and technical benchmarks

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 15 years minimum oil and gas experience in the Exploration and Production sector, assuming a variety of roles
  • Must include an engineering core role for at least 8 years, and experience in offshore project delivery
  • Must have at least knowledge experience of business planning and project evaluation (for example project budgetting) or specific commercial or economics role
  • Must have good stakeholder management skills and awareness of working with other cultures
  • Must have explicit knowledge level experience in multidiscipline teams in front end project delivery
  • Candidates of skilpools other than project engineering with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills. Disciplined to ensure that proper process is followed
  • Posses strong communication, leadership and analytical skills
