looking for a suitably qualified and experienced applicant to fill the
positions.
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda
The Role
·
Planning
and implementing logistics for imports and exports of goods in liaison with
foreign freight for warders, mainly in Europe, China, U.S.A and South Africa.
·
Negotiating
freight with airlines and shipping lines for mainly exports.
·
Sub-contracting
transporters for delivery of containerized and loose cargo to various
destinations within and outside the country.
·
Supervising
clearing and forwarding operations in Nairobi and Mombasa
·
Liaising
with clients on the progress of clearance of their shipments
·
Cargo
freight sales
·
Advising
consignees on duties payable to various types of goods on importation.
·
Advising
clients on the requirements for importation of various goods.
·
Liaising
with customs and pre-shipment inspection companies.
·
Tracking
the movement of sea freight cargo in liaison with shipping lines.
·
Breaking
the Bulk and advising accounts on charges to be levied to consignees both in
Air and sea freight Imports.
The Person
·
High
integrity, team player, leadership, meeting of deadlines, and interpersonal
skills a must
·
35
years and above
Experience
· Degree in any social sciences
·
Diploma in clearing and forwarding and
·
Relevant
working experience of minimum 7 years a must with 4 past experience in
managerial positions
· Working experience in the clearing and
forwarding industry preferably
· Computer skills required
