Position Summary
To provide process engineering expertise for the development and assurance of current and future BG Brasil projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Technical assurance for the BG Brazil non-operated sanctioned projects in all process areas including those related to asset integrity with full cognizance of BG, Brasilian and International codes and standards
- Process Engineering Technical support for the BG Brazil non-operated projects that are currently in the Front-End stages
- Maintain an active link to the Engineering Team in BG Advance 
- Represent BG Brasil projects at BG internal functional and readiness reviews and partner meetings
- Review project design deliverables and follow up on comments to ensure they are suitably incorporated
- Prepare technical and progress reports to support flow of key information to management to assist in decision making.
- Capture and distribute Lessons Learned
- As a member of the Engineering Team, be pro-active in performing any tasks necessary to make the projects a success
- Provide process engineering support to the Operations team as and when required 
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
- University degree qualified in a chemical or process engineering discipline
- A professional engineer with proven experience in a project environment
- Knowledge of applicable international standards
- Experience of deepwater oil and gas business developments and the main contractors and suppliers
- Experience of a client/operator environment and a knowledge of the safety, environmental and operational aspects of their work.
- Knowledge of process design safety through application of inherently safe design and international standards.
- Familiar with the application of safety and environmental management systems including the application of safety processes such as hazard identification, HAZOP, safety integrity protection systems
- Ability to perform process simulation and calculations to support their evaluations
- Knowledge of fluid flow and flow assurance
- Good understanding of E&P surface facilities (process through to operations) and an understanding of the key technical interfaces including those with the subsurface disciplines
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral with ability to explain technical matters to staff not conversant with the detailed technical area
- An ability to coach, mentor and share knowledge in both formal and informal settings
- Knowledge of the priciples of good HSSE management with a commitment to the high standards of HSSE that are expected in the BG Group.
- Able to manage time effectively, both own time and that of a team to achieve delivery of work against agreed schedules
-Fluent in English and Portuguese
