SharePoint Developer AngloGold Ashanti

AngloGold Ashanti Limited (AGA) is the world's third largest gold producer with 20 operations in 10 countries on four continents and a highly successful exploration program.  AGA employs over 62,000 people globally.  In Australia, AGA operates the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine in WA and is developing the Tropicana Gold Mine, also in WA, in which it has a 70% interest and is manager.  Independence Group holds the remaining 30%.  Tropicana, which represents the most significant Australian gold discovery for the last decade, is scheduled to begin production in the December quarter of 2013.

We now require the skills of a SharePoint Developer to join our IT team based in the Perth Corporate office.

Accountable to the Information Management Business Analyst, this role is responsible for providing a platform that supports and enables knowledge sharing and collaboration capabilities across the business. The role will be client facing which requires strong communication skills.

The main tasks of the role include:

• Provision of Project activities to assist with the planning, design, development, testing and deployment of new applications and Information Management solutions in support of Knowledge Management, Document & Records Management, Decision support tools andEnterprise Search
• Development and Administration activities on SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2007
• Custom Web Part development
• Workflow Development
• UI Design based on current best practice and standards
• Provision of business wide SharePoint end-user support and assistance
• Assist in the creation and management of enterprise wide SharePoint governance, standards, policies, and procedures

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• Technical skills in SharePoint 2010 and 2007, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath 2010, Visual Studio, .Net/C#, HTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server, PowerShell and Silverlight
• Analytical skills capable of developing process and procedural solutions / enhancements within the organisation and delivering change to this effect in a sustainable manner
• Understanding and experience of agile development
• Application integration experience would be an advantage
• Degree qualified in Information Technology or similar discipline
• SharePoint Certification is desirable
• Must be eligible to work Permanently in Australia
