EBA is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Bank Expert in the Oversight Department. Under the direct responsibility of the Head of Home-Host Coordination Unit, the successful candidate will use his/her legal expertise in promoting the general functioning of colleges of supervisors across the European Union and provide advice on all issues related to the relationship between home and host Member State competent authorities. The role will take a specific interest in ensuring the consistency of EBA staff input to colleges and guiding on the relationship between home and host supervisors including mediation cases.

Main purpose

Representing the EBA in supervisory colleges and providing advice on issues impacting on the relationship between home and host Member State competent authorities.

Main responsibilities:

• Attending colleges of supervisors of individual banking groups as an EBA representative;
• Providing feedback and guidance to colleagues from competent authorities and developing tools to assist in the efficient functioning of colleges and reaching joint decisions;
• Providing support to the EBA’s oversight activities in producing supervisory recommendations, including in dispute resolution;
• Participating in the EBA working groups and representing the EBA at a technical level as well as effectively cooperating with the other ESAs;
• Other related tasks as they may arise.
