QGC is establishing one of Australia’s largest capital infrastructure projects to turn our world-class reserves of coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG). Queensland Curtis LNG, a priority project for QGC, involves expanding our exploration and development in southern and central Queensland and transporting gas via a 380km buried pipeline to Curtis Island near Gladstone, where it will be liquefied. QGC operates the gas-fired Condamine Power Station, the world’s first combined-cycle power station to run entirely on coal seam gas.
Position Summary
The incumbent is responsible for supporting and coordinating the operations function for Commissioning and Start Up activity with projects and modification engineering scopes, to ensure compliance with the Operations Management System Policies and operational HSSE requirements.

They will also be responsible for assisting in developing the necessary commissioning & Start Up philosophies, procedures and controls to support and promote a timely and seamless facility transition to Operations.

This role will be required to interface between Operations and the Project Commissioning teams to ensure that project scopes are delivered in accordance with operational requirements and company procedures.

A thorough understanding of Completions Management Systems and Handover requirements is required to fulfil the role. The position plays a key role in reviewing all handover documentation prior to Ready For Start Up (RFSU) been issued, in accordance with the Completions & Handover Strategy, Punch listing procedure, Facility Turnover dossier and the Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR).

The Coordinator plays a key role in identifying non-compliance issues across a range of technical disciplines via participation in punch list walk downs and documentation review. Technical Queries (TQs) are used to highlight engineering non-compliance issues with the project engineering team. The Coordinator needs to provide assurance that non-compliance issues are resolved prior to RFSU, and that facilities are built to specification and comply with BG and Australian Standards, and are ultimately, safe to operate and maintain.

Core Accountabilities

Position Specific
• Contribute to the delivery of the Commissioning/ Start-Up and Completions policy from mechanical completion to handover
• Support the Commissioning & Start-Up Superintendent to ensure that Start -Up activities are planned well in advance and are fully integrated with the schedules and requirements
• Prepare and review Start-Up documentation
• Prepare commission/Start-Up plans
• Assist the Commissioning & Start-Up Superintendent with the planning, coordination, execution and follow up of all Start-Up activities and ensure they are done in strict compliance with QGC/BG policies, standards and guidelines.
• Prepare progress reports on all Start-Up activities in accordance with the Upstream Operations Interface Communications and Handover procedure.
• Interface between Upstream Operations and Projects for all Commissioning/Start-up related matters.
• Keep up to date records to show all certification requirements are completed to demonstrate compliance with statutory and QGC standards.
• Provide support into all aspects of the various sub project schedules and the integrated project schedule. Manage multiple work fronts.
• Assist the Commissioning & Start-Up Superintendent with all Operations aspects of the Start-Up activity from Project handover through to the handover to QGC Upstream Operations.

People Management• Assist in the coordination of project Commissioning teams in the Construction yards, vendor facilities and site facilities.
• The incumbent must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry related to Operations, Commissioning and Completions role.
• Experience preparing commissioning/start-up plans.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiations with third parties and ability to provide guidance on project commissioning/ start-up matters.
• Experience in identifying potential issues and providing solutions.
 Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes• Educated to tertiary level in an engineering discipline.
• Understanding of Commissioning and Completions programs and systems and the interface between Engineering, Quality Assurance and Scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. (Microsoft Project and Visio desirable)
• Ability to function in an organisation with multiple ongoing Projects
