Review of AusAID’s South Sudan NGO Early Recovery and Humanitarian Funding Round 2010-2012


The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) was contracted in January 2012 by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), as Resource Facility Manager for the Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES). AACES is a partnership of AusAID, ten Australian Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and their Africa-based partners. The role of the Resource Facility is to provide timely, efficient, and effective logistical, administrative and technical support to AACES. As Resource Facility Manager, ACBF has been tasked to engage a team of two evaluation consultants (one team leader and an additional team member) to conduct an independent review of AusAID’s South Sudan NGO Early Recovery and Humanitarian Funding Round 2010-2012.
The purpose of the review is to appraise the performance and outcomes of the Funding Round, measure the extent to which the objectives have been achieved and assess the merit of this modality in the South Sudanese context moving forward.
