Strategy Director - Corporate London GSMA – The Role Reporting to the Head of Strategy, your role will be to develop the strategic vision, priorities and capabilities for the GSMA in both the short and long term. It will be your responsibility to define and drive the strategic direction of the GSMA advising and executing opportunities for organic and inorganic growth. Whilst you will be based in London, you will need to travel to GSMA’s offices in Asia, Europe, LATAM and North America, as well as represent the GSMA at its global events. In your day to day role, you will leverage your strategic, analytical and practical experience to: • Identify and leverage the GSMA’s core capabilities to define a strategic vision and priorities for the organization and the required steps to realize these, e.g. development of internal capabilities, partnerships, M&A, outsource agreements etc. • Identify and assess opportunities for future GSMA growth including new business areas, platforms, services, technologies, and industry events • Define opportunities for cross-functional improvement across the GSMA, for example through restructuring or refocusing current activities • Work with internal functions to communicate the GSMA corporate strategy to relevant internal and external stakeholders 

Criteria 
Criteria for Selection Ideal candidates for this role will have the following experience: • Corporate Strategy experience – you will have worked for at least seven years within a top-tier strategy consultancy or within the strategy department of a leading company within the Telecoms, Media, or Technology sectors • Practical business experience – you will have led teams to both define and implement corporate strategies within the telecoms, media or technology sectors • Telecoms industry knowledge – you will have a deep understanding of the telecoms industry and the strategic priorities of key stakeholders across the industry value chain • Communication and Presentation – you will have experience presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders, gaining buy-in to your recommendations • International experience – you will have experience working in an international environment and with geographically dispersed teams. You will be willing to travel internationally, including at short notice
