Analytics Manager, Mobile at Ask Partner Network in Oakland, CA

Desired Skills & Experience

In this highly visible role, the Analytics Manager, Mobile will support efforts to optimize e-commerce solutions by ensuring proper data is collected; accessing and analyzing data to reveal trends and outcomes; effectively communicating findings across the organization; and by integrating key lessons into organizational processes.

This position will initially be an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director of Yield Optimization.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop an intimate understanding of the APN data environment – data collection, data sources, key elements, data accessibility

-Support key business initiatives with analytics and insight, acting as a quantitative consultant on projects

-Create reports and ad hoc analyses as needed

-Develop appropriate models for forecasting key outcomes

-Articulate findings in the relevant context within the organization to the executive team

-Support Optimization team initiatives with needed analysis

Experience, Skills and Education

-5+ years relevant experience with analytics in internet media and/or e-commerce, marketing, finance and experience with mobile app analytics

-Data analysis/manipulation skills:

Excel – strong proficiency required

SQL – able to retrieve data via SQL queries, as needed

Tableau experience is a plus

Other business intelligence or statistical analysis tools would be helpful

-Statistical knowledge:

-General understanding of statistical concepts and context – ability to evaluate strength and relevance of a particular trend or finding

-Statistical models – regression and trend analyses

-Means testing – able to identify the appropriate tests and develop confidence intervals.

-Financial knowledge:

-Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial models

-Outstanding communication skills, self-starter, resourceful, entrepreneurial

-BA/BS in related discipline –Business, Finance, Economics, Social Sciences. Advanced degree a plus.
