Deputy Director, Carnegie Moscow Center

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading foreign policy think tank with global operations, is seeking a talented and experienced individual to serve as the Deputy Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center.  The Deputy Director will serve as the principal administrator of the Carnegie Moscow Center office and provide critical support for the Center’s scholarly and policy-related activities. Position will be responsible for managing the Center’s activities across various functions, including Carnegie’s offices in Washington DC, Beijing, Beirut and Brussels; act on behalf of the Center Director in his absence; oversee the budgeting and accounting functions; contribute to and oversee grant writing and reporting; participate in fundraising activities; and oversee the communications team’s outreach, social media, and publications activities.
Successful candidates will have 5-10 years' related experience; a demonstrated track record of success in administration-related positions, preferably in the nonprofit or academic arena; ability to work collaboratively with both scholars and the administrative team; significant experience with non-profit or private sector budgeting and accounting; experience in supporting fundraising activities; fluency in Russian and English.  Advanced degree and experience working in a Russian office environment strongly preferred.
