The Louis Berger Group, Inc. is seeking a GEOLOGIST / ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST, to work out of our Headquarters in Morristown, NJ.

Role & Responsibilities: LBG is seeking a Geologists / Environmental Scientist experienced in site and remedial investigations, remedial actions, data evaluation/interpretation, and subsequent report preparation.

This position will have you involved in field and office roles for site investigations and remediation projects for public and private clients. Project responsibilities will include everything from cost estimating a project, overseeing field efforts, through participation in final report preparation.

Projects will entail a variety of field sampling activities (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, etc.), soil boring logging, monitoring well installations, and other related tasks. Field activities will be followed by in-office data reduction and interpretation and draft report preparation.

Candidates should have the capacity to work outdoors in all seasons through various kinds of weather and have the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and project managers. Some travel may be required. Strong writing skills are a plus.

 Requirements:

·         Must have 1 to 4 years of experience in the environmental field {site and remedial investigations, remedial actions, data evaluation/interpretation, and subsequent report preparation}.

·         Familiarity with N.J.A.C. 7:26E and NJDEP Field Sampling Procedures a plus.

Education & Skill Requirement:

·         Must have a Bachelors Degree or higher in Geology or Environmental Science or Engineering.

·         Must have 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

·         NJ Subsurface Evaluator License a plus.
