Project Manager - Emissions Management

DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager oversees all aspects of assigned projects using planning, monitoring and control processes. They are responsible for the coordination and successful completion of all project activities and regular reporting. This role requires a strong background in Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and Waste Heat Boilers (WHB).
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overall responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects, on time and on budget
  • Understands all project documents, drawings and specifications, highlighting critical aspects to Project Team
  • Maintains current Contract Information Sheet and generate Supplier Technical Specification for major systems
  • Prepares Project Plan, defines and sequences tasks, establishing a Baseline schedule, monitoring and controlling schedule to meet project schedule commitments
  • Assesses project risk factors and mitigation measures
  • Monitors and controls project budget and regular reporting on Work In Progress. Leads project value analysis with the goal of increasing contribution margin
  • Supervises contract installation personnel at project sites, as required, ensuring safety rules are observed and that construction is done in good workmanlike manner, consistent with all drawings, specs, codes and regulations
  • Promotes Quality performance and product
  • Participates in the Supplier selection process
  • Ensures maintenance of cost and schedule controls
  • Liaises with Customers and Suppliers in general communications as well as negotiations
  • Interfaces with other company departments and disciplines in a professional and cooperative manner
  • Applies sound Supplier performance monitoring of manpower and quality
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-Secondary technical diploma / degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten years prior experience in similar Technical & Construction Project Management role
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with clients, customers and suppliers
