Project Manager , National Housing Corporation (NHC)

National Housing Corporation (NHC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates if interested to work in the real estate management in the following positions in its Directorates of Innovation, and Regional Operations and administration. The positions are Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and Senior Administration Officer who will join the team.

The Project Manager reports to the Director of Innovation and has overall responsibilities of managing projects, establishing project management structure, identifying resources required, advising on procurement strategy and preparation of required documentations and Terms of References.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:

Coordinates feasibility study and reports.

Develops project strategy and prepare project handbook.

Advises on budget/funding requirements. Preparation of project execution plans.

Organizes testing, commissioning, operation and Maintenance Manuals and handover.

Reviews deliverables prepared by the design team. Effectively applies methodology and enforces project standards.

Prepares for engagements, reviews and quality assurance procedures.

Undertakes Risk Management - Minimizes exposure and risk on project and ensure attainment of value for money. Ensures project documents are in place, current, and stored appropriately.

Qualifications and Experience:

A holder of BSc Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Building Economics or Architectural Studies

A Post graduate study in MSc in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Building Economics or Architectural Studies will be an added advantage.

Working experience of at least 5 years in Construction Industry with a proven three 3 years experience in Team Management or Leadership and Project Management.  He/She must have working experience in contract management and construction management

Good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.

Training and Certification in Project management will be an added advantage
