Job Purpose | With the ever increasing cost of aircraft and aircraft operations, significant effort is being expended to reduce the total cost of ownership whilst increasing aircraft availability. A significant method for achieving this objective is through better diagnostic and prognostic data management and its analysis techniques. The position of a Senior Manager Technical Prognostic & Diagnostic (P&D) enables to apply enhanced diagnostic and prognostic technologies to detect failure in advance but also to detect lifetime restrictions. The Senior Manager Technical P&D should avoid or reduce:Delays, Aircraft Changes, Cancellations, Airborne returns, Diversions, Troubleshooting, MEL Limitations, and Outstation Maintenance. |
Responsibilities |
- Translate the diagnostic and prognostic technologies into sustainable operational strategic plan. Enable and apply advanced technologies to a mature status of data management, trend monitoring and health monitoring. Deliver cost effective engineering functions in line with the operations and regulatory requirements
- Ensure development of long and short term plan with budget required to deliver the strategic vision of world class diagnostic and prognostic engineering services and seek management’s approval.
- Direct the development and continuous review of proactive service levels and KPI’s in all areas of engineering and maintenance operations.
- Ensure effective engineering diagnostic and prognostic strategies are in place in order to minimize any incidence that would jeopardize EY’s reputation and EY brand.
- Lead stakeholders in the development of strategic plans to develop and enhance commercial schedule, cost effective contingency plans and emergency response plans in order to deliver business objectives.
- Engage and direct Diagnostic and Prognostic stakeholders during any demonstrations and projects.
- Ensure that for all Diagnostic and Prognostic topics regulatory and quality awareness are in place.
- Constantly ensure review of diagnostics and prognostics operations performance worldwide against business plans and provide specialist information/advice on evolving business plan and the long-term business plan to meet corporate objectives.
- Provide management with intellectual inputs that would help enhance the EY brand and position it as an airline of choice.
- Build up relationship with all the stakeholders (internal and external) and regulatory and governmental bodies thus ensuring the implementation of a prognostic and diagnostic policy.

Requirements |
Qualification & Education:
Relevant university degree is required and a postgraduate business operations degree or MBA.
Experience:
Post holder must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering operations, of which at least 10 should be in a senior management capacity. Intelligence in various fields of trouble shooting, prognostic and diagnostics are mandatory.
Training & Knowledge:
- Expert knowledge of engineering operations and health management requirements
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Fluent in English; additional other language(s) preferred
