Thiess was awarded the QCLNG 6+1 Packages to construct six field-compression stations and one central processing plant. This construction will represent some of the upstream facilities that are being developed by QGC for its Queensland Curtis LNG Project.
We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor - Electrical for projects located near Dalby / Chinchilla. You will be employed on a Permanent Full time-Project Hire basis with Thiess Industrial projects, and whilst working on this project you will work on a 14/7 roster from Brisbane. It will be camp accommodation located 3.5 hours inland from Brisbane and buses will be provided to site. The primary focus on the role is to coordinate and direct a team of multi-disciplined trade based personnel, predominantly within the electrical discipline, in support of project based construction activities.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Facilitate project construction requirements by liaising with Superintendents, other supervisors and with the wider team to support the delivery of works on site;
- Execute all works through the effective management of resources, with a focus on best for business outcomes.
- Ensure effective compliance to all relevant site procedures and standards through effective communication;
- Ensure compliance to safety at all times on site, and taking appropriate action where required;
- Carry out progressive inspections in accordance with approved ITP;
- Co-ordinate and facilitate work pack briefing to work crew;
- Actively manage the team, ensuring issues are addressed, performance problems identified and resolved;
- Ensure all activities are compliant with standards set by the client, the community and the regulatory framework.
Applicants must have:
- Electrical Trade qualifications
- At least 4 years experience as a Supervisor on major projects within the Oil & Gas/Construction Industry
- You must have the right to work in Australia
