Description:
North Bethesda health and human services consulting firm seeks a Level 2 Support Engineer for their North Bethesda office. The Systems Support Engineer will provide technical assistance in working hands-on with IT and project staff developing and deploying leading edge solutions. The Engineer employs discovery, assessment and analysis skills to identify, configure and deploy cost-effective systems that satisfy customer requirements. Expertise with network, web technologies and information security is needed in support of development, design center and quality assurance teams. This position requires in depth knowledge of Windows and ability to provide troubleshooting & diagnosis. Engineer will provide timely responses to helpdesk tickets while maintaining effective communications with Staff and Management on the progression of each ticket.

·Monitor Operations & Maintenance helpdesk site for, and respond to, support requests from Level 1.
·Follow strict Operations & Maintenance procedures for change and content management in a SharePoint 2010 environment.
·Maintain support knowledge base.
·Management of production & staging environments.
·Work with SharePoint development, Design Center and Quality Assurance teams for hot fixes, service packs, content changes and testing.
·Responsible for technical documentation delivery such as FAQ and Standard Operating Procedure.
·Taking ownership of technical issues and working with our development group to resolve more advanced issues when necessary.
·Resolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead intervention.
·Documenting troubleshooting & problem resolution steps.
·Participation in providing training to customers as required.
Minimum Requirements:
·BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Minimum of 2 to 3 years hands-on IT experience using Windows 2008 server & client, SQL server 2008 and IIS7.
·Familiarity with deployment in complex, role based multi-server environments and maintenance of enterprise applications.
·Ability to communicate clearly using advanced technical knowledge in customer focused, quality-oriented environment.
·Familiarity with Windows applications especially ASP.net, SharePoint, Windows Management Interface (WMI) and Web Services.
·Familiarity with SDLC.
·Ability to apply and use advanced technical knowledge in customer focused, quality-oriented environment.
·Knowledge of Biztalk and Amazon Web Services a plus.
·Knowledge of Internet Explorer, Firefox, JavaScript, Google Maps, JQuery and ASP.net is a plus.
·Experience with IE, Firefox, JavaScript, Google Maps, and Jquery is a plus.
