Get closer to our local supporters. Harness the passion in your area and make a bigger difference nearer home. We're boosting the success of our community fundraising initiative by recruiting more Fundraisers in more ares. Which means you can generate even better results and make a bigger contribution.

OXFAM PURPOSE: To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering.

TEAM PURPOSE:
To generate income and engagement for Oxfam by developing and implementing a community fundraising strategy that enables volunteer and key supporters to raise significant income for Oxfam.

JOB PURPOSE: To achieve income and engagement goals by establishing and sustaining networks of fundraisers and fundraising groups in your region.

Context: Oxfam's ambition is that fundraising for Oxfam becomes as natural as shopping in one of our stores or giving a regular donation. The post-holder will be integral in achieving this ambition through implementing Oxfam's community fundraising in a defined geographical area.

You will need to grow the impact of local fundraising in your region so that Oxfam is positioned to efficiently and sustainably make significant financial contributions. The emphasis will be mid-term growth, so forward planning and good decision-making will be key.

You will be joining a fast growing team so a desire and ability to drive results will be essential. As this teaming is still growing and developing you will be required to develop your own area and help with the development of the overall Community fundraising strategy.

Oxfam believes that creating committed networks of supporters is essential for underpinning how people fundraise for the charity. So you will be experienced in growing and establishing networks of supporters - including developing supporter groups and tapping into existing networks (such as faith groups, fundraising societies etc).

In some cases Oxfam's fundraising products - such as Oxjam or International Women's Day - may motivate these networks. In other cases general support for Oxfam will be the key. Either way you will be enabling people to make a difference to overcoming poverty and suffering by harnessing passion and commitment in the community.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a track record in community fundraising looking to make their mark by shaping Oxfam's approach and activity within a defined Area. You will be given the space to demonstrate your creativity and the aspiration to achieve your ambition.
