EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – SURVEYORS

Ten of Barrick’s mining operations are found within the Australia Pacific region, with its regional head office located in Perth, Western Australia.

Role Purpose
Based across our sites in the Asia Pacific Region, The Mine Surveyor provides accurate Survey Control to assist the Production Department to mine the required design, and to maintain accurate records and plans of the extent of all mine workings so that statutory requirements are complied with

Key Accountabilities
• Promote and improve the safety performance by implementation of and compliance with
Barrick Safety Policies and Statutory requirements.
• Remove or report hazards and report all incidents and accidents using Plutonic Gold Mine procedures.
• Promote and improve the environmental practices by implementation of and compliance with Barrick
Environmental Policies and statutory obligations
• Maintain a high safety awareness and comply with Plutonic’s Safety and Health Policy
• Ensure effective communication of work and issues/conditions status takes place with delegate prior to departure from site
• Carry out surveying tasks as assigned by Production Department & Senior Survey personnel
• Assist in maintaining mine plans

Key Requirements
• Advanced Diploma of Surveying or Bachelor Applied Science (Surveying)
• Authorised Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency Grade 1 issued by the WA Department of Minerals and Petroleum(desired)
• Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
• St Johns Senior First Aid certificate desirable
• Underground mine surveying experience
• Modern Survey equipment (Leica Total Stations, Optech CMS, Trimble GPS)
• Understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations

Our sites are FIFO on an (8:6) roster, or residentially based on depending on site. Our staff are entitled to a competitive salary package in line with qualifications and experience.
