Position DescriptionSaudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist responsible for providing emergency care for both inpatient and outpatients within any Saudi Aramco facility or area served by the Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization

This role includes teaching responsibilities which may include medical conferences, ACLS and other local physician/nurse continuing education activities. This role also requires active participation within the Division Continuing Quality Improvement Program.
Minimum RequirementsThe successful completion of a specialty training program in Emergency Medicine with board certification or the successful completion of specialty training in another appropriate specialty with board Certification.

Significant clinical experience in Emergency Medicine as indicated below:

Residency training and Board Certification in Emergency Medicine from programs and professional colleges of the U.S., Canada, Ireland, United
Kingdom, New Zealand or Australia or equivalent with a minimum of 2
years full-time clinical practice.

Residency training and Board Certification in the specialties of
Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or General Surgery with successful
completion of joint examinations in Emergency Medicine of the respective specialty and a minimum of 2 years of full time clinical practice.

Residency training and Board Certification in the specialties of
Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or General Surgery with at least 5 years of full-time clinical practice in Emergency Medicine.

Residency training and specialty recognition in Family Medicine with
or equivalent additional training in Emergency Medicine (i.e. CCFPEM
from Canada) with at least 5 years of full-time practice.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesExamines and treats the wide variety of patients presenting to EMS or in other settings as required.

Maintains current knowledge of the latest treatment modalities for all types of emergency patients.

Is competent in managing without supervision emergency medical care problems encountered in the practice of emergency medicine.

Supervises General Practice physicians assigned to EMS.

Works on a shift rotation to EMS.

Reports to the Chief, EMS.

Responsible for making certain non-clinical administrative decisions as authorized by the Chief, EMS.

Responsible for emergency medical response and care for potentially critically ill or injured patients outside Saudi Aramco DHC as required, such as air medical response and evacuation.

Familiar with local or industrial factors which may produce morbidity.
