The UniversityDongbei University of Finance & Economics, founded in 1952, is one of the leading universities in China in the areas of finance, economics, management and tourism.
Global Institute of Management & Economics (GIME) is an institution dedicated to providing excellent education both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for international and local students. The GIME has a dynamic multicultural teaching team comprising of staff members with diverse academic and professional backgrounds from the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Germany and other counties. 
As an expanding academic institution, we are currently seeking candidates to fill 2 Assistant Professor/Associate Professor positions. The candidates should have relevant academic knowledge and attainment in at least one of the following areas: Event Management, hospitality and tourism management. 
ResponsibilitiesOur ideal candidate will have proven university teaching and research skills, along with relevant professional experience: 
  • to contribute significantly to teaching and dissertation supervision both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • to engage in course design and management, curriculum review and new course validation processes
  • to demonstrate a potential for excellence in research and the ability to contribute to the development of the GIME's research profile
  • to support colleagues and participate in GIME's administrative work as appropriate
  • to undertake any such other duties within the scope of the post as may be requested by the director
Qualifications
  • A doctoral degree in a relevant discipline at the time of appointment
  • Ability to deliver lectures and explain complicated concepts in English
  • Proven experience and capability to deliver high quality teaching and research output
  • Professional experience in relevant fields would be an advantage
Remuneration Package
  • Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience which will be in the first class among Chinese Universities
  • Benefit package: accommodation allowance, relocation allowance, medical insurance and paid leave
  • Relocation assistance: flight and luggage allowance, one week temporary accommodation near the campus, and support in finding long-term accommodation if required
  • GIME encourages all academic staff to engage in research activities and provide research funds for fieldwork, conferences and publications in academic journals.
