Transport Economist Support to the Anguilla Air and Sea Port Authority
He/she must have :
- at least a 5-year post-secondary qualification and general experience of at least 10 years
- specific experience of at least 8 years in economic and transport forecasting, economic evaluation of transport and infrastructure projects and a clear understanding of the relationship between transport and development
- experience with a similar institutional study
- experience within the Caribbean or dealing with authorities in Small Island States (as an advantage)
- a very good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Description of the assignment:
The objective of the study “Support to the Anguilla Air and Sea Port Authority” is to review the governance, legislative, institutional, operational, investment and financial framework under which the Anguilla Air and Sea Port Authority (AASPA) operates and to propose realistic solutions to improve its operations’ efficiency and effectiveness, its commercial profitability and sustainability. The consultant will be part of a three-expert team.
Location and duration:
The expected start date of the assignment is 7th January 2013 and in any case the consultants must be mobilized within 15 calendar days from the notification of contract award. The consultant will undertake 2 missions in the capital city of Anguilla, The Valley.
