Organizational Setting |
The Division of Nuclear Power (NENP) is one of two Divisions in the Department of Nuclear Energy and comprises the Nuclear Power Engineering Section, the Nuclear Power Technology Development Section, the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Group and the International Project on Innovative Nuclear Reactors and Fuel Cycle Group. The Division provides core engineering, technological, human resource development and management support to interested Member States in the field of nuclear power. The main objectives are: to respond to the needs of interested Member States in improving their national nuclear power infrastructures and programmes and to evaluate the need for possible replacement technology within the country; to act as a catalyst for innovation and to assist, as appropriate, in the resolution of scientific and technological issues in the area of nuclear power, including electricity generation and other uses such as desalination and hydrogen production; and to manage, preserve and further enhance nuclear expertise and knowledge, competence and effectiveness in support of Member States, and to sustain the IAEA's unique position as the leading global international organization in the nuclear field. The Team Assistant works in an office environment located in the International Project on Innovative Nuclear Reactors and Fuel Cycle (INPRO) Group. The assignments are provided by the supervisor or generated by normal workflow. Priorities are usually established independently, and most tasks are carried out according to established procedures with minimum supervision. |
Main Purpose |
Reporting to a Group Head and providing support to a group of Professionals, the Team Assistant contributes to the efficient operation of the office by providing assistance and advice on the administrative practices and procedures. |
Working Relationships |
The Team Assistant obtains, provides or clarifies information with staff at all levels in the Group or related programmes on matters related to the assignment and to relay instructions from the supervisor, gather information and documents and remind officers of deadlines. She/he may exchange standard information with officials outside the IAEA. The Team Assistant may provide guidance to temporary or more junior staff. |

Remuneration |
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at €34 469 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), six weeks' annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance. |
