Job Summary

:اجرای وظایف ذیل

Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing the preparation of an environmental management framework
(EMF), environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental management plan
EMP for new investment and rehabilitations
• Hiring and supervising technical consultants to prepare these documents,
Including writing terms of reference and reviewing outputs received
• Ensuring that all such documents comply with relevant laws and regulations
• Managing the disclosure and consultation process for all such assessment 
• Liaising with the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA)
Throughout the review and approval process 
• Managing panels of international experts on environmental impact, as may be constituted under relevant national laws and regulation or donor policies
• On donor funded projects, interface with donor safeguard staff or ensure the timeouts
• Completion of safeguard procedures and necessary clearances, to the standard required by donor operational polices
• Across projects, monitor and enforce the implementation of environmental mitigation actions, as identified in the approved EMP
• Coordinates with social specialist in the same department to ensure coherence between framework assessment and plan regarding environmental and social impact

Qualification

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulation 
• At least Bachelor`s degree in related discipline, such as natural resource
Management, environmental science, biology, chemical engineering, or others
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for environmental issues as shown through
Previous roles, additional task taken on, or other such commitments
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in large organization
• Demonstrated ability to work with wide range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex tasks on deadline
• English language ability would be preferred
