An exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of the expansion of Warwick Medical School's (WMS) research portfolio. Warwick is currently investing in biomedical research' and is attracting established world-leaders in their fields.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding (non-clinical) scientist at Professorial level to develop a research programme to support the University's investment in microbiology and infection by expanding research in the genomic epidemiology and evolution of microbial pathogens.
Demonstrated excellence in research will be the main criterion for appointment. You will have a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline and will have an internationally-leading research record (determined by your proven experience of publishing high quality research in peer-reviewed journals, and your record of success in grant applications). Some experience of the organisation and delivery of the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students will also be expected.
