£27,854 - £36,298 pa (Appointments are usually made on the first point of the salary range)

36.5 hours per week 
To work under the direction of the Design Manager to deliver efficient and timely Architectural Design Services to the Estates Office supporting the delivery of the Estates Strategy and related business objectives for the University.
To ensure all projects allocated are managed within current Estates and Financial procedures.
Where directed lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for the feasibility assessment, design, supervision and contract management of new build, refurbishment and planned maintenance projects across the University’s estate. Additionally when required you will carry out design, supervision and contract management tasks within projects. 
You will be imaginative and have the ability to think and create in three dimensions together with good analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail. You will also have an awareness of the impact upon the University of legislative, technological or other changes, with the ability to respond effectively
You will develop internal and external relations, motivate, develop and encourage performance in others and have the ability to negotiate and persuade at a project level, so it is important that you have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Previous experience at a similar level is essential and you will have a construction related degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Architecture, Engineering or Project Management and be a professional membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. RIBA, CIAT).
