Duties
The Budget Branch in AusAID is seeking suitably experienced individuals to fill the role of Senior Budget Officers. As an APS Level 6 Officer in the Budget Branch, you will work independently or as part of a working group under limited direction of an Executive Level manager and will be expected to contribute to the attainment of AusAID's corporate goals and objectives. Working in the Budget Branch is a unique experience; it will provide you with a holistic view and knowledge of the aid program. You will gain exposure to the whole-of-government budget process, financial management and accountability frameworks. You will also have an opportunity to contribute to formulating policy, gain experience in strategic planning, negotiation and relationship-building. The successful candidates will have background experience in budget development and/or budget management and will possess well developed administrative skills.
Eligibility / Other Requirements
Candidates must be Australian citizens. These are security assessed roles and you will be required to either have, or be able to obtain, a security clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
