Primary Purpose:

The Database Coordinator enables the success of the Mission Advancement department by coordinating direct mail campaigns and data projects; training and coaching Mission Advancement staff in CRM best practices and procedures for a large, inter-departmental system; designing and executing reports; entering gifts and coordinating gift acknowledgement processes; providing day-to-day maintenance and integrity of the fundraising database.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Provide administrative support on database projects as assigned by the Database and Operations Manager, including the need to locate and aggregate potentially disparate data.
• Coordinate and execute timely direct mail campaigns, generating targeted mail lists for newsletters, fundraising campaigns, annual reports and other direct mail communications.
• Track direct mail responses, determine appropriate follow up and enter next step in database.
• Process gifts and coordinate appropriate follow up.
• Prepare and process gift acknowledgements.
• Coordinate donor thank you calls with board members and volunteers.
• Design reporting vehicles and ensure proper testing/validation.
• Generate and deliver timely Mission Advancement reports.
• Document, train and enforce CRM best practices as defined by department.
• Create and maintain database records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain timely and accurate data of high potential donors in the database.
• Generate prospect lists for Development team and senior management.
• Conduct prospect research of high potential donors, analyze wealth screen results and draft prospect profiles.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
• A personal commitment to organ and tissue donation required.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Minimum one year experience utilizing a CRM database to execute multiple fundraising processes; Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel; basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Wealth Engine, Crystal Reports &/or Tableau a plus.
• Strong deductive reasoning, research, organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
