RedR Technical Support Services Officer (TSS)


 RedR is an international disaster relief charity which trains aid workers and provides skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes worldwide, helping to save and rebuild the lives of people affected by natural and man-made disasters.
THE ROLE During the next three years RedR will be setting up a roster of urban technical experts that will provide specialist expertise to agencies in the urban sectors of urban planning and engineering.
In this role you will (together with the Membership Manager) run day to day operations of TSS service. Furthermore you will work on expanding network of technical experts especially with urban expertise.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Essential • A commitment to our humanitarian mission and values • Enthusiastic about being part of a collaborative project and is keen to or has experience of working with multiple organisations • Knowledge of (emergency) WASH sector • Active/confident user of websites and digital tools and technology • Strong communication skills – written and oral • Ability to work with people at all levels and from all backgrounds.
• Initiative, enthusiasm and a problem-solving approach to new challenges • Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, able to work independently • Ability to work flexible hours - occasionally in the evenings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION • Location: 250a Kennington Lane, London SE11 5RD • Contract: Part-time (40%), 3 years fixed term contract • Salary: £22,004 p/a (pro-rata) • Closing date: 7th April 2013 • Interviews date: 18/19 April 2013 • Start date: April 2013
