Regional Sales Manager at The Danish Trade Council, Atlanta


On the behalf of Kamstrup Water Metering LLC, the Danish Trade Council in Atlanta is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager in Los Angeles, CA.

Kamstrup is among the world leading producers of smart water meters and is currently introducing its product portfolio of ultrasonic cold-water metering to the US market. Smart water metering enables valuable features like remote meter reading, leak surveillance and integration with heat/cooling metering and electricity metering systems.

The position:
• Our Regional Sales Managers will be responsible for building the business for the newest technology of automated meter reading solutions, offering valuable features like remote meter reading, leak surveillance and can be integrated with heat/cooling metering and electricity metering systems.
• The main target audience will be water utilities located in your designated geographical area. You will be responsible for the entire sales process from identifying prospects to closing orders and must be comfortable working with long, educational sales cycles.
• Kamstrup will provide the needed product training necessary to understand what makes our line of product unique so you are well equipped to sell the products - primarily to water utilities.
• The Regional Sales Manager will work out of a home office and report direct to the Country Manager in our US headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

The ideal candidate:
• You have a BS in electric or mechanical engineering, preferably combined with a commercial education and/or experience.
• You are driven by the hunter sales aspect and can communicate with your customers on the right level.
• You have a proven track record from minimum 5-8 years of experience selling to the public sector, preferably to water utilities.
• You are a ‘self-starter’ and work independently with minimum of guidance, and take responsibility for the entire sales cycle.
• You are able to work your territory from your home office and are able and willing to travel extensively up to 120-150 days per year, including domestic and international travels to headquarters in Atlanta Georgia and Denmark in Europe.
• You are experienced user of the Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel and Power Point, and have excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• You have experience with knowledge sharing and use of CRM systems.
