GSMA – The Role Reporting to the Director of Industry Strategy, your role will be to support development of the strategic vision and priorities for the global mobile industry in both the short and long term. Whilst you will be based in London, you will need to travel to meet and work with operators and other external stakeholders around the world. In your day to day role, you will leverage your strategic, analytical and practical experience to: • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the opportunities and threats for mobile operators and to develop growth strategies for the global mobile industry • Ensure that the industry’s vision is reflected in annual GSMA Business Plans, day-to-day activities and decision making • Define and implement the strategic direction of the GSMA’s major programmes – including Future of Communications, Mobile Commerce and Connected Living • Communicate the industry and GSMA’s short and long term priorities to internal and external stakeholders, including C-level executives • Represent the GSMA at leading international mobile events, including Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai 

Criteria 
Criteria for Selection Ideal candidates for this role will have the following experience: • Strategy experience – you will have worked for at least five years within a top-tier strategy consultancy or within the strategy department of a leading company within the Telecoms, Media, or Technology sectors • Practical business experience – you will have both defined and implemented strategies within the telecoms sector • Telecoms industry knowledge and experience – you will have worked within the telecoms industry in either a full-time or advisory capacity • Analytical capability – you will have experience working with analytical tools (including Excel) and the ability to translate analysis into recommendation and action • Communication and Presentation – you will have experience writing and delivering presentations to senior internal and external stakeholders • International – you will have experience working in an international environment and will geographically dispersed teams. You will be willing to travel internationally, including at short notice.
