Role

A Team Assistant is a key role in radio production support. Team Assistants are also members of the stations’ “customer service” teams, acting as a key point of contact between programme makers, our contributors and audiences. The role also ensures delivery of our PRS legal requirements (Performing Rights Society – Music Reporting).

Requirements

You will need to have excellent practical knowledge and skills in using a range of broadcast and office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  You will need to be able to prioritise, to use initiative and to work effectively without close supervision and to meet deadlines, often under pressure.  Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is important, as well as the ability to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with a range of people and at all levels of the division and wider BBC.  You will also need a good understanding Radio 1/1Xtra's audiences and a passion for it's output and divisional objectives.
