As HR & Volunteer Coordinator you will be a key member of our HR team that delivers comprehensive human resources support to the whole organisation.  Supporting the HR Business Partners, you will be involved in general administration across a number of core people management areas including recruitment and selection, payroll, contractual matters, absence management and maintenance of the HR database.
You will also coordinate the management, induction and supportof all office-based volunteers, advising on all aspects of volunteer management. You will lead on initiatives to raise the profile of volunteers and their valuable contribution to ActionAid and develop and evaluate strategies that support volunteering. . Important will be your ability to work proactively and help ensure the HR team continues to deliver the highest service levels to the organisation.

Ideally with a CPP certificate or working towards qualification you will have HR systems administration experience and be expert at office duties such as preparing standard letters, running reports, data input, taking minutes and filing.
You will also have some payroll management experience. Good at building relationships you will need to be highly organised and have an eye for detail. Key will be the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing at all levels of the organisation as this role involves extensive contact with people across ActionAid UK.
