About the Job:
Utkarsh Micro Finance Private Limited is looking for a Head - Internal Audit. S/he will be working under the direct supervision of the head of the organization. S/he will be based in the head quarters of the Utkarsh i.e Varanasi. S/he will be the part of Utkarsh senior management team and will contribute to the development, support, and supervision of the internal audit function within the company. This will include providing assistance and leadership in developing new methodologies to improve the audit process. Developing and training team will also be essential responsibility of the head of the department. Suggest and guide the organization on various issues related to internal control system will be vital part of the his/her duties and responsibility.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop an annual audit plan using input from the team and stakeholders to identify priorities and resource requirements for the year;
- Ensure development of plans to meet the audit committee’s expectations;
- Schedule and assign audits to team members. Ensure effective and efficient use of resources;
- Ensure quality control of the team’s audit on an ongoing basis by regular reviewing and communicating to the staffs;
- Ensure that the annual audit plans have contingency built in to provide unexpected audits;
- Report audit committee at required intervals on internal audit assignments including planned reviews, investigations, risk advisory work, and any other ad-hoc activity as required;
- Oversee and provide quality control for the department’s audits. Ensure departmental mandate and business goals are met and that professional standards are maintained at all times;
- Ensure final reports are issued with all recommendations agreed and accepted by the audited individual/group;
- Manage and oversee team performance through performance planning, training, and performance appraisals. Provide ongoing feedback to the team to ensure they develop the skills and competencies required for effective planning and individual professional and personal career growth;
- Provide assistance to the business in meeting regulatory requirements;
- Keep abreast of developments in corporate governance practices and advise the business accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in banking, finance, and microfinance sector;
- Sound knowledge of banking and finance operational procedures;
- Experience of audit in banking and microfinance finance sector will be an added advantage;
- Should be well versed in both written and verbal English;
- Expert in handling large team;
- Must be effective communicator and should possess good presentation skills.
