RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a Junior Distribution Operator - Service you are responsible for assisting in the installation, inspection, adjustment and servicing of natural gas equipment, which can include meters, piping, appliances and related components of the gas utility system.
  • This is a training position which progresses to the position of Distribution Operator – Service, with the various duties assumed gradually.  Progression is attained through successful completion of the company training school program, on the job experience and successful completion of government requirements for gas fitter certification. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety. 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 would be an asset)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, decision making, strong work ethic
  • Able to maintain and promote good working relationships and excellent customer service
  • Previous equipment operating experience would be an asset
  • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment
  • Normal good health for this type of work
